Generally Torontonians are shunned because they have the potential to be Leaf fans.

One rule of thumb in Canada: Never, ever admit that you are a Leaf fan outside of Toronto! This is a surefire way of getting lynched. Even on the internet, Leaf fans have been known to "mysteriously disappear!"

I'm sorry, I don't see much in the way of body checks in football?

I'm not talking about that wussy World Cup Hockey, but the real NHL, the body checks, the elbows, the fights...the real hockey!

A bunch of drunken Europeans kicking around a ball doesn't constitute a sport, IMHO.
