This is upon experiment, so there might be a chance it is a simple glitch, but rogue's can use more than just wands and spells with their Use Magic Device skills. All weapons and armor with an enchantment (+1, +2, fire damage) falls under this category as well; meaning, that rogues can use practically anything in the game, whereas others are restricted by their feat capabalities.

Hmmmm? You mean a rogue can use a magical two-handed blade with no penalties even if he/she is not proficient with such a weapon at all?

I think you are mistaken. Any characters can equip any weapons in the game, but if they have no points in them, they will have a penalty.

So can you tell me why a regular PC can not equip Emma Moonblade's blade, yet a rogue can? I checked her feats, rogues are not trained in the exotic weapon area. Besides, I never mentioned anything of penalties, I just stated that they can use certain items, in this case the moonblade, when others, who are not trained, can not.

The moonblade is a Large Sword, not a Bastard sword.

It can be equiped by any good character. Even my sorceress can. It just mean that your regular PC is not good, while your rogue is.

Luvian is quite right. If you scroll down the description for the sword, it will say "Usable by" and the first requirement is Good alignment. Anyone of the pure neutral (True, Lawful, Chaotic) or evil alignments won't be able to equip this item.

Hmm.. For some reason I was thinking of it as a bastard sword. Ah well. It was, after all, just an experiment.

2nd
my rogue wasn't to use a single resticted item (beside wands) no rings, no weapons , no amulets ....
