Well, I've haven't played in awhile, but experiance is so hard to get, cuz I can't find any good training areas, and people who sell me spells. I just found 2 guys, and thats it. I've just killed the (spoiler) barbarian leader, and I can't find areas except that remorhaz place for XP. Any help/ advice on my Xp and spell dilemma?

Training areas: Besides the remorrhaz in the areas of HOW, the other major respawning site in IWD is the cavern with the Ettins in Dorns Deep.

As for spells, you should be able to buy mage spells from the following people / places:

Orrick in Kuldahar (his inventory changes at least once in the game)
Merchant in the Severed Hand (?) I can not remember whether he had spells the first time I went there or if the scrolls he had where some that I sold him.
Bandoth in a side cavern in the Ettin cavern of Dorn's deep
Nym in Lower Dorns Deep
Edion the Mage on Burial Isle in HOW
Kieran the Mage in Lonelywood in HOW
Teirran the Dwarf in Gloomfrost in HOW
Hobart Stubbletoes in Courtyard of the Castle of the Luremaster in ToL

If you want a little more XP, and have HoW; I suggest exporting your party characters to a new party in Easthaven, then play in Heart of Fury (HoF) mode for a while. After you think your characters are buffed up a bit, re-import them into your existing game.

Here's a less bloody way of gaining xp, but it's a major cheat (spoilers to follow):
.

Export your characters and start a new game of HOW, with the expansion only and set it on HOF mode. Import your characters, and complete ONLY the non-combat quests up to and including your return from your fist visit to the barbarian camp and the subsequent discussion with the Lonelywood councilman in the big house to the northwest of the inn! With all of the quest xp TRIPLED in HOF mode, there is some MAJOR xp to be gained this way, with minimal risk of death! Repeat as needed. Then export those characters, and re-import them into your original game, ONE AT A TIME. Make sure you transfer containers from the original character that you are replacing to another character and then back to the imported character. That way, you save all of your containers. Like I said, this is a MAJOR cheat!
