I have three parts to the astrolabe and found Larrel, only he attacked me. If I go back down to the library and then return to see Larrel, again he attacks me (along with a lackey named Geralth, or something). I have fought him three times with 8th & 9th level wizards and paladins...to no avail (I used the cheat key to keep my parties health up for the fight to see if it would help). The screen says that he is "almost dead" after only a few hits then does not change. Am I supposed to kill him...
Any help would be, well, helpful... |

I can't imagine why he went hostile on you .....
I don't know if its possible to finish the game if he is killed.

Larrel can't be killed. I got curious one day and pounded him for like half an hour before he started killing off my party.
I would theorize that you need to start over at a point where he is not hostile. Otherwise, you cannot progress.

ooops .. its not important whether Larrel CAN be killed or not ... just making him hostile prevents you from finishing the game because areas of the map you need to explore are not exposed. Afraid you'll have to back up to save BEFORE he went hostile and proceed from there.
