1) Hide in shadows.
2)Sneak around behind target. 3)Attack with the appropriate weapon. NOTE: As far as I know you can't back stab with blunt weapons or large weapons, try it with a short sword or dagger. ------------------ Grinch |

Just for the record, there ARE no stupid questions on this board, ask away!
Oh, and if your Hide in Shadows ability is too low, you can use invisibility potions or spells...good luck! ------------------ Melusine, High Queen of Fluffies, Archbabe of the Order of the Holy Flame and the Laughing Hyenas, & Official Entertainer Elf of the BG2 Bar Your voice is ambrosia |

I doubt it. Imagine you're the one standing behind a creature, hidden and with a staff. Think you can stab him?
Another thing about backstabbing: how do you determine what side of a mustard jelly you're on? I've heard people claim it's impossible to stab such creatures, but maybe they were all standing in front of it. Anyone ever backstabbed backless creatures? ------------------ The last arrow of Legolas kindled in the air as it flew, and plunged burning into the heart of a great wolf-chieftain. Backstabbing is better used against tougher opponents I guess, like vampires and Dragons. |

even though you can in bg2 in proper Dnd you cant backstab constructs or creature like dragons. I think tho in neverwinter nights since its the 3rd edtion there will be only flank attacks.
