Robert was looking for a pet and found a talkative parrot at the pet store. The pet shop boy warned him that the bird had been owned previously by a sailor, and had developed some rather nasty language.
Still, Robert decided to bring the parrot home, figuring that he could somehow un-train the parrot. Fat chance. The parrot would cuss up a storm no matter what, and one day, with Robert's new girlfriend coming over for dinner, he decided he couldn't take any chances, so he threw the parrot in the freezer. Several hours later, after the date was over, he remembered the parrot and opened the freezer. "Terribly sorry about the language," said the parrot. "Won't happen again." Robert was speechless. "Okay," he stammered, "as long as that's settled." "If you don't mind my asking," continued the parrot, "what did the chicken do?"

Being a proud parrot owner (or 'parront' as we wittily dub ourselves even though no-one else knows what the hell we are talking about) I love to hear parrot jokes, and this is an oldie but a goodie But don't try it at home folks
