Very Angry So My Furnace Decided to Give Up the Ghost Last Night...

...on the coldest night yet @ 17 F with gale force winds. Yes sir, nothing like shelling out $2,800 two days before Christmas. On top of it my wife is so sick she camped out all niight in the bathroom.

So, how is your holiday season?

Honestly, though, I have so many blessings I can't complain (but I do want the wife feeling better!).

Yeowch!!! Daily double in the wrong direction there, Albromor! At least you'll be warm and comfy... while your wife is consulting the porcelain gods

Keep warm and safe...

..that's because you don't post enough! It's all about posting Ironworks! Look at bungleau for example.

Maybe Z could set up a little collection to help you out? I don't mind helping. I'm too Blessed to be stressed!

Your using Bungleau as a an example?!? Just kidding Bungleau and you're right about the porcelien god. She was consulting throughout the wee hours of the morning.

I really do appreciate your mercy Variol but I'll be okay. Savings accounts really do help.

Whoa.. rough time for the furnace to go out! No good time, I know, but in middle of the cold snap AND when your wife is sick right before the holidays... ugh... Glad you got it fixed, though! Be warm and think healthy thoughts for Christmas!

It's important to be an example... good or bad Hopefully I tend toward the good side... except when I'm not

You have my sympathies... a night consulting the gods is about the time my wife starts having issues with the fact that I can fall asleep pretty much any where, any when... *including* when she's wanting someone to share in her misery...

My parents told me that nobody was getting Christmas presents this year because they're broke.

I mean, not for nothing, but my mom makes kind of a lot of money... and I'm currently a barista... and yet they tell me this *after* I manage to scrape together a little cheer for everyone.

Still, it could be worse.

Sounds familiar.

People in my family that make money are acting that way as well, guess it's up to us poor peeps this year.

You'll be glad you put the effort into it: just to make them look... well, something.

That does suck.. ugh.. Sounds a bit like us--in 2 Months, we had the Cars starter die, a UPS die, the water heater element stop working (one still works..gotta drain it today and replace it..yey) and yesterday the damn drain/food disposal broke/is leaking, septic tank needed to be vac'ed... geez man, when it rains, it FLOODS this time....

Glad you're ok though!! I'm glad I know how to fix most of the stuff--save some $$ at least, eh?
