1. It's simple: continue playing the game Take quests, complete them, take next quests, and so on. As far as the main quest is concerned, your next goal is Skull Castle.
Note that you must buy a ship, even if you don't plan to use it. Otherwise, you won't be allowed to leave Brimloch Roon. The ship is 10000 gold. Take the money and go to Brimloch Roon docks. 2. Sorry but you are right. If you want the Assassin role then you must complete Scanthril's quests and get Assassin's Dagger from him. Then you can show him that his tone and his "payment" weren't liked by you at all...

Welcome back to the boards, weskerwesker! May this stay in the best place in the Gael Serran be longer than the last.
Radek's got you the right answers. You can't leave Brimloch Roon on the left until you buy a ship, which means you need to have 10,000 GP available. Hopefully you've got that much left, or it's time for some arbitrage... And yes, if you kill Scanthril before getting the assassin's dagger you've missed your chance to be an assassin... this game. After you complete, you can reset adventures and try it again. But not to worry... the game will finish just fine even though you never become an assassin. Keep us posted on how your game is going. We're kind of voyeuristic like that...

Welcome to the board, Weskerwesker.
Nice to have you with us. I see you have already been well answered by two of our fellow distinguished board members. I think I will add, though, that since you are already acquainted with the virtualdub perhaps you do not mind hacking a bit either. That way you can hack the assassin's dagger into a character's inventory. It is not difficult and absolutely harmless. I am sure our distinguished moderator, Wyvern, will give you the details if you like.

Welcome to the board, weskerwesker!!!
As always, you've gotten excellent help! There are possible ways to get the assassin's dagger - 1)reset your adventures and don't kill the rat off before you finish the quest or 2) hack the dagger. There is a thread I posted ages ago about hacking items. It isn't really difficult if you remember to make a backup copy of your game and have a hex editor (you should be able to find a free one somewhere on the web). There are additional advantages to resetting adventures. YOu get to keep most of your goodies (not quest items but that makes sense), your characters' experience/levels. The history of what class the characters had been previously is wiped clean so you can go back to a class. That can be very handy if you didn't learn all the spells in one class or another. Keep us posted on how your game is going!! Have you bought a ship in Brimloch Roon yet? That's the only way to get out the west gate! Wyv |

No, it's going to take you a little bit to get there (unless you tree-surf). You'll do Skull Castle, and then Anephas' Shrine. That opens the way to the rest, including that lost city.

I decided to toast Scanthril and the Black Hand after learning from the
Sensei in the Bushi Guild that Shrew Chisi was after the Daimyo. (Kinda thought that not only was it time for payback, but it was 'justice') With regards your plans and where things are, this map might help.... http://www.volberding.com/WHints/Sur...tion_Large.htm Although some might think it's a bit of a "spoiler" it does at least show you both how big the area you're going to have fun with is, how things fit in, and where (approx.) you are in the game as you progress. My personal tip is don't be too dependent on using the ship to get around.... While it's faster than swimming, if you swim you'll get more encounters with crabs (chances for shells) and plenty of experience from the sea life. |
