The best treasure areas are the three great houses' vaults. They are all in Vivec, and guarded by ordi's, but the goods are sweet. Filled up cauis's pad with these puppies. Better be able to defeat a couple ordinators at a time though, and be good at taunting

I know, my sneak skills are at 100, i've looted all treasury's right under their noses and noone noticed. I stuffed it all in my Vivec residence since i didn't need the money anyway.

Looting the vaults was when i first started mindlessly killing ordinators. from one vault alone i got 160 thousand. i have none of that cash left might i add. i just liked the challenge of killing 3-4 ordinators whilst picking up a load of stuff. great fun

Early in the game when you don't have that much money and are not that well equipped, you should pay a visit to the fighters guild in Ald Ruhn. Be sure to bring two locksplitter scrolls. You'll need one to open the door that leads to a room where you can open a chest with the second scroll. The chest contains a complete glass armour outfit and glass weapons. Not a bad equipment early in the game.
