I like some of the remixed ones better, especially teh Dragula one, has more "stuff" in it.

But White Zombie beats it all. A lot more atmospheric, brilliant for when do a semi-horror bit of an RPg or fight scenes depending on songs.

Does anyone know if the film is anygood? Or the songs from the film?

And download some of the vidoes to go with the songs, Dragula is weird.

Artist : Cheeky Girls
Title : Take your shoes off

Woo
Cheeky Girls
Just Do It
Woo
Cheeky Girls
Just Do It
Just Do It
Every girl and boy needs to grow up
To enjoy the fun in disco clubs
It is hard to be under 18
You can push the time to be just free
Shake your body feel the beat
Take your shoes off and feel free
We love our teenage lives
Disco fever never dies

* 5-4-3-2-1
Shake it, shake it
Shake it, Shake it
Move it, Move it
Move it, Move it
Take your shoes off
And feel
The freedom
Let's shake it
Let's move it
And take your
Shoe-sies off
Woo

Cheeky, cheeky, cheeky, cheeky
Every girl is looking for good fun
We are young and never have enough
Disco beat is what we really like
Lifts you up your body comes alive
Shake your body all the night
This is what you really like
Close your eyes and lift your head
Disco music never ends
Disco music never ends
Disco music never ends

[Repeat *]

** Shake it, shake it (Yeah)
Shake it, Shake it (Come On)
Move it, Move it (Wow)
Move it, Move it (That's Right)
Take your shoes off and feel the freedom
Let's Shake it, let's move it
And take your
Shoe-sies off
Woo

[Repeat **]

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! That's better!

I found it completely ridiculous and offensive when Christian friends of mine were told online that they were "delusional", "closing their eyes to reality", "believing in a lie" etc.
But *I* don't like being told I'm sticking my head in the sand and closing my eyes to things either. It's exactly the same insult.
FWIW Melusine, I don't care for the "stick your head in the sand" lyric either. I agree that it is a bit "strong" to say the least. Then again - as you pointed out - it isn't anything that hasn't been hurled over and over at Christians, so perhaps the artists were feeling a bit retaliatory. It isn't the wording I would have chosen, but I still like the song overall.

And I also saw song lyrics posted in this thread that *I* find offensive, but to each his own I suppose.

Here is another song that I really like. In fact, it is probably the BEST song I've heard all year on the radio. It is far and away my absolute favorite song played by the station I listen to at work.

I Can Only Imagine
by Bart Millard
from "Almost There"

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk by Your side
I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When Your face is before me
I can only imagine

Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus, or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all

I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself standing in the Son
I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship You

I can only imagine

i like this one probably cause of how they play it it's from 'whisper'by Evanescence :

fallen angels at my feet
whispered voices at my ear
death before my eyes
lying next to me i fear
she beckons me shall i give in
upon my end shall i begin
forsaking all i've fallen for i rise to meet the end

i also like lyrics by Ill Nino and Linkin Park

LOL, that's hardly fair Cerek: who's to say "which side started"? Not really exemplary of a turning the other cheek mentality, that. (and no, I'm not saying a Christian should never be able to feel a little vengeful just that, since it's impossible to determine who started and since it's slightly childish to even do so, a Christian should be wise enough not to continue the mudslinging just because the others are doing it too )
Since we both agree it's offensive to insult a Christian in this way, I think it should be agreed that it's offensive to anyone to be insulted in the same manner. Anyway, I'd better post some lyrics now before I go too far off topic

Rammstein - Heirate Mich

Heirate mich

Mit meinen Händen grab ich tief
zu finden was ich so vermisst
und als der Mond im schönsten Kleid
hab deinen kalten Mund geküßt

Ich nehm dich zärtlich in den Arm
doch deine Haut reißt wie Papier
und Teile fallen von dir ab
zum zweitenmal entkommst du mir

Heirate mich

So nehm ich was noch übrig ist
die Nacht ist heiß und wir sind nackt
zum Fluch der Hahn den Morgen grüßt
ich hab den Kopf ihm abgehackt

Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail, from Duett 9

OSMIN
O Engländer! Seid ihr nicht Toren,
Ihr laßt euern Weibern den Willen!
Wie ist man geplagt und geschoren,
Wenn solch eine zucht man erhält!

BLONDE
Ein Herz so in Freiheit geboren
Läßt niemals sich sklavisch behandeln;
Bleibt, wenn schon die Freiheit verloren,
Noch stolz auf sie, lachet der Welt!
Nun troll' dich!

Funny how song lyrics just aren't the same with out the music...

I dont know why this song has been stuck in my head for like months now and it is so much better with the music (That's obvious, right?)

"For Whom The Bell Tolls"
By Metallica from "Ride The Lightning"

Make his fight on the hill in the early day
Constant chill deep inside
Shouting gun, on the run through the endless grey
On they fight, for they are right, yes, but who's to say?
For a hill men would kill, why? They do not know
Suffered wounds test their pride
men if five, still alive through the raging glow
Gone insane from the pain that they surely know

For whom the bell tolls
Time marches on
For whom the bell tolls

Take a look to the sky just before you die
It is the last time he will
Blackened roar massive roar fills the crumbling sky
Shattered goal fills his soul with a ruthless cry
Stranger now, are his eyes, to this mystery
He hears the silence so loud
Crack of dawn, all is gone except the will to be
Now they see what will be, blinded eyes to see

for whom the bell tolls
Time marches on
For whom the bell tolls

edit-I mis-spelled metallica!

Prince (I'm sorry TAFKAP) isn't subtle?
I mean, this is a clasic line

She had a pocket full horses,
Trojans, and some of them used.

I really like all kinds of music so it's really hard to pick anything in particular. But how about this:

And somewhere in the night
The Gambler, he broke even.
And in his final words
I found an Ace I could keep.

You got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away,
And know when to run.
You never count your money
When sittin at the table.
There'll be time enough for counting
When the dealin's done.

Question Mark

Speakning of 80's subtlety, I really like how Iron Maiden would deftly educate stoned out metal heads in history and literature with their songs.

Phantom of the Opera, Murders in the Rue Morgue, The Prisoner, Stranger in a Strange Land, Aces High, and the list just goes on.

One of their best literary adaptations I think is Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. Even quoting Coleridge directly in a few places.
Agreed, Melusine. Christian's are supposed to hold themselves to a "higher standard" - but it does get extremely frustrating and challenging at times. I think this song (plus a couple of others by the group) reflect this frustration. I do concede this isn't the best way to convey the message of Jesus' Love.
