I wasted several months, if not years, of my life on the original. I usually avoid part II's, but based on the glowing recommendation here, I'll have to give it a try as well.

Railroad Tycoon 2 had so much little buttons in it that you soon needed twelve hands to control all your hundred routes. It was great neverthless.

All first person shooters, and quite good. The first two have dated graphics by todays standards.

04) Thief II

Excellent skulking game, frontal confrontation rarely succeeds.

05) 5 "Sim" Titles, i.e., City, Copter, Safari, Isle, and Tower

Simcity is the only one worth playing, IMO, but it is excellent - very addictive.

06) Deus Ex

One of my favourites! Kind of a combination of a FPS and an adventure game. Very cool.

07) MDK 2

Never played it.

08) Unreal Tournament

Never played it, very good graphics. Popular.

09) Soldier of Fortune: Gold Edition

Lots of fun, maybe a 6 out of 10. If you like console FPSes, this'll be right up your alley.

10) Star Trek: Birth of the Federation

A must have for trekkies, a yawner for anybody else.

11) Asteroids 3D

Never played it.

12) Wing Commander: Privateer
13) Railroad Tycoon II

Both excellent games. Privateer is very challenging, if you like flight combat games with an arcade feel you'll love it.

14) Redneck Rampage Rides Again! (Arkansas)

Mediocre, maybe a 5 out of 10 at best. Hilarious for a time. Tongue in cheek.

15) Mech Warrior 2

Very good, if you're into giant robot games GET IT.

16) Spec Ops: Platinum Collection. It includes:
16a) Spec Ops: Rangers Lead the Way
16b) Spec Ops: Ranger Team Brave, expansion pack
16c) Spec Ops II: Green Berets
16d) Spec Ops: Operation Bravo, expansion pack

I have no experience with these, Delta Force was good but I never got interested in SpecOps.

I agree Irongrinder. By far the most addictive game I've ever played. I took over a year to play just one game.

Now he is wondering which games are worth the time to install and which ones would be a waste of time. I'm familiar with some of the titles, but not all of them...so I need your help.

Please rate any of the games you are familiar with from 1-10 (with 10 being GREAT and 1 being "throw away ASAP").

Any comments you have of why the game rocks (or sucks) would also be helpful. Thanks for your help.
