Oh yes, indeed there are scooter rallies! The scooterist scene is alive and healthy in Britain, and indeed in the US too! Many rallies and rideouts raise money for charities.

Unfortunately I've bought my Lambretta at the end of the 2002 season, so will just have to keep it nice until spring. It is a truly beautiful vehicle, 33 years old and looks like it's just rolled off the production line. If my Vespa turns heads, I can't wait to get out on my turquoise Lamby! Tho I did get very strange looks yesterday from a bunch of bikers who slowed down to glower at me, on the whole people make really good comments about my Vespa.

Well partly it is a style thing, partly tho it is fascination with vintage vehicles. It's certainly not a girl thing - the scooterist scene is very much male dominated, as I would imagine the vintage car scene to be. Give me 6 months, I'll probably be an expert scooter mechanic!

No Cloudy she is still present, incarcerated, but present You wanna talk a long week of WTF well I had it. The redeeming factor though is she does have money to cover all her fee's and fines and the cost of the rental that I payed for, NOTE to ALL never ever rent a car for someone unless you can handle being stuck with the bill for there stupidity. She got a frikin DUI and voids all insurance on a rental ARRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
ah well what is that saying, whatever will be will be ??

Grease monkey? Well dunno about that, but I'll have to learn the basics to keep it on the road! Incidentally, I used to have an old car (not a classic or anything like that, it was a 1975 Austin Allegro!!) which I used to do all my own maintenance on so I know I can manage a scooter.

Surrey is the county just south of London, so not far - when I rode to London and back my round trip was 100 miles so nothing major. Job's OK, I'm doing a lot of training at the moment on a course I organised, I enjoy doing that but it's tiring and last week I had a very vocal and argumentative group!

Good luck with the new bike!
