What am doing wrong?

I've made it in to Erathsmedor and given him the shroud I say the secret word "Elseramavin" but he doesn't give me the sword???

I found from a earlier post you have to choose the word from my list, not type it, but its not in my list....what do I do?

Erathsmedor, doesn't give you the Mavin Sword...He allows you access to it.
..A door should have opened behind you, the Mavin is in the room on your right.

I had the same trouble, but kept talking and repeating everything. After you type the word and continue talking it registers in the talk zone, then press it! Yes, you have to go to a room to get the sword! I made my Paladin with the ring talk to the Dragon! Hope that helps?
