Does anyone know if there are XP compatible drivers available for the Sidewinder precision pro 2.0 ?

I've been looking all over the net, but i can't find anything, but maybe i'm missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

According to M$ it should work OK with the software it came with.

Quote:
If you have Windows XP Home Edition, the SideWinder software should install and function properly. If you have Windows XP Professional Edition, you will need to be a member of the Administrators group in order to install and use the SideWinder software.
Aside from the fact that this is enforcing a violation of standard security practice (never to use an admin account for anything except admin) you shouldnt have a problem. Theres a link to a newer version of the software, dont know if that will help but its worth a try.

Yeah, well Microsoft is wrong. It's NOT compatible with XP home edition. It doesn't recognize the Sidewinder's software. I can find drivers for almost every edition of Windows, but not for XP.

Ah well, back to the store we go.
