Since that guns are not outlawed in USA i suggest getting a gun, load it with salt (not any gun will do, so beware!) and waut for the miscreants. When they TP your yard fire at them. It is painfull like hell, but is not lethal at all.
It was used in russia to ward of rascals from private property.

 . Much fun to be had there. get a paintball gun, freeze the paint balls the night before and lay in ambush. The freezing is optional, but it will leave a lasting impression
