its not insignificant! they dont really know everything about them; its like hurricanes - it might kill you, it might not.
hopefully it wont be like the one that blotted out the sun for almost the entire north american continent thousands of years ago. |

I didn't necessarily mean that it wasn't scientificaly important, however the size the eruption as a news story is somewhat insignificant considering what is happening else where around the world. I think it got even more coverage than the Presedential Debate! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Of course it deserved more coverage than the presidential debate, the planet was basically belching. when she speaks, everyone should shut up and pay attention, even if it was only a small eruption.
but anyone ever think about how catastrophic it would be if Mtn. Fuji erupted?
