i've been playing this game for a while (my chars are upto avg level of 14) and i haven't found any decent swords except those that i picked up in arnika. i've got two fighters and one has the demon sword (found in the monastary) and the diamond epee. i haven't found anything better. heck! i've find better polearm weapons for Vi! i've got her equipped with a stun rod that i pilfered off a T'rang at marten's bluff.

I would head north of Arnika to the northern wilderness, from there go to the mountain wilderness, there are 2 locations there with some great items. And in the SE area of the swamp there's a passage to the SE wilderness, one area there with some more great equipment. None is easily earned
 But at 14th level you should be able to do it, enjoy!

If ya want a really good sword...in antones back room pick the chest and get his key...then go to the bank and go downstairs to the vaults..in antone vault is a sword called bloodlust..it is cursed but is well worth it.

You can have nice off hand sword if you pickpocket Antone. This only works with the unpatched version!

You can find Sword of 4 Winds in the Mt Gigas lower level.
