Having made my group member of as many guilds as possible, and increased stats very nicely I've found myself pondering changing my warriors (currently level 10 rangers) to warlocks as that would give me access to buying int and the fiend/moon spells. (and buying 2 spell levels each xp level [of course after I could go back to paladin then barbarian] Is this a 'sane' thought? (I'm currently still having fun in the Serpent Temple though, even with frequent spawn it looks like there actually might be a finite amount of priests in there so i could have to go back to rumphy )

Also thinking of making my warlocks into bards - before turning them into samurai - as i've now got the snake figurine and all the monkey idols.

comments appreciated.

It depends.

First, is each of your caracters a member of all the guilds? If they are, you don't need to change your role to gain the Int or boost your spells.

Now, before you upgrade your ranger, make sure that you have attained level 6 Vines (I don't find any use out of level 7 vines spells) and that you've got the spells that you want. Yes, you'll be able to get more vine spells as a warlock but that way, you can concentrate on Fiend and Moon. I would recommend that you go to Ninja before paladin... that way, as a warlock you can concentrate on Fiend and Moon as a Ninja.

About your warlock, if you've got all the spells you want (especially in Fiend), I would suggest a quick stunt as a barbarian, that way you can boost your HP and you won't have to be there for long. Skip the bard and go samourai then to ninja. Finally you can make him a very deadly assassin or leave him as a ninja (far more powerful than a samourai).

Have fun
