Is there any reason to carry around gems? They seem to have no purpose except selling value?
Also, after the avalanche, I am picking up more items than my party can carry ( in kuldahar pass). Is there a way to return here after selling off all I can carry, or do I just have to keep the higher value goods? Thanks in advance for the help |

I would keep the higher priced goods.
One trick that you can use and will help later on is to find a chest to store items until you can return. I believe there may be a place for storage inside the mill. Gems usually fetch a tidy sum plus you can stack them. Have one of your characters carry all types of the same gem, that way they will only take up one slot until the maximum is reached (10 gems of the same type will fit in a slot). Also gems don't weigh anything so have your weakest character carry them. Welcome to the boards and enjoy your game. [ 02-04-2003, 10:38 AM: Message edited by: pritchke ] |

There are a couple of barrels on that map where you can store items. I believe they are near the center of the map. There should also be a couple of containers downstairs in the building in the far NE corner.
All that little stuff builds up cash very fast - not enough to buy the REALLY good stuff, but enough to upgrade some armor when you get to kuldahar proper.

You´re not carrying around to many arrows/bolts, are you? Those are very cheap to buy and you don´t need to pick every single arrow in Kuldahar Pass (unless, of course, you really needs them).Have fun!
BTW, nice music in Kuldahar, don´t you agree?

The only gems I keep are the ones that say they're used to make something. I'm not sure if they ever will but you never know.

you should pick up and sell every gem you get, its a easy way for money. bolts, bullets, and arrows wont even sell, so if you dont need them dont worry about picking them up.

Be a gem collector! I keep them all for a long time and sell them all at once. The first time you sell something--you get the best deal. After that, your profit drops (still a nice profit...since you earned the gem by wit, theft, or battle).
I think you can also stack up to 20 gems in one of your slots and not 10 as previously mentioned. |

You don't need to pick up the axes and shields - they will only get you 1 gp a piece - so they're really not worth it.
