G`day all I am having a devil of a time getting past the oracle. I have the ring and I have said destiny and nothing happened.I said it till I was blue in the face. They did`nt recognize my character as being the chosen one. What have I or am I doing wrong. Has my character broken the sacred vow. Would appreciate any help before I go bald, mad or both. Thanks Frank

Hi Franky,
Welcome to the board! You should have no problem getting past them if you have the Signet of the Mavin. Make sure you let the oracle finish talking each time, and just use all the key words present just to be safe. Hopefully the game hasn't messed up big time! |

Forgot to mention, you can't break the sacred vow because the game doesn't enforce it. A problem (lucky break?) because the game was rushed to the shops.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
That's right, you can break your sacred oath all you want in this game . Make sure that the caracter who speaks to the Oracle is wearing the signet (it's a gold ring with red stones that you get on the body after talking to Nivius). Good luck.

It's a good job that this game wasn't coded like Ultima IV Way of the Avatar was, or V, with those Shadowlords that would come and splat you if you seemingly transgressed, even though you thought you were being "good".

It MAY have been how FAR AWAY you were to the Oracles! If you're not CLOSE enough, they don't recognize that you have the ring, and hence that you are the chosen one! That was the problem that I had with them. One of my most frustrating times in this game... and then I came here! (er, I think)
