We all know, I believe, that the Priest Stone and the Warrior Stone are pretty handy items if you can afford them or find them, they give a decent boost. The Rogue Stone, on the other hand, has no obvious effects. I found one, so I want to know if it'll help me with anything or if I can just go ahead and sell it.

Sell it. It does absolutely nothing.

I always wondered about it, really. Was it meant to do something in the original design, but never implemented because apparently no items boost skills? Was it meant to have some more nebulous effect?
Or was it just meant to be riches for rogues when found? |

I believe it gives a boost to the characters Parry skill something like +4.

Interesting. I'll have to check that out. It's listed as having no properties. Perhaps it may have some use after all...

One thing that always bugged me a bit about W&W is how unexplained the system is. I mean, sure, it lists my character as having +X parry and +Y hit, but how does it actually work? It'd be nice to know how much a single +1 to any of it actually mattered.

Search through some of Radek's old posts. It's truly amazing how much analysis he has done on these kinds of things....

Yes, as Law pointed out, it does give +4 parry.
..and an explanation on how it all works. |
