I just installed a Radeon 9800 Pro and now I don't have any video (picture) for my game. When I start the game I can see the videos playing (the logos and whatnot), but as soon as I get to the menu everything goes black, except for a small square around my mouse cursor. Everything still works, I can load my game and use the menues, I just can't see anything. When I load a game, I can see the game screen, but all the menus around the outside are all black.
It worked fine two days ago with my old Radeon 9500.

Any ideas?
As far as I know, I'm fully patched.

Thanks.
H

Also, I tried the BGConfig file, when I test the video settings all I see is black, no triangles or whatever.

Yes.
I figured it out. It was my Anti-Aliasing. It works fine if I turn it off... :/

Thanks

Just what I was about to suggest O_o

The other thing you could have done to solve the problem was send me your 9800Pro and I'd send you my 9600XT which I know works

You will find that...

You need to turn off AGP Fast Write in order to play really graphics intensive games. Also, in the Catalyst Control Centre, under "SMARTGART" turn off "AGP Read" and "AGP Write".

Just trust me on this...I finally got HL2 to work after like 3 weeks by doing that.
