How many of you are smart enough to know what that is?
Just kidding.
Anyway, for those of you poor poor folks out there who don't know wat it is, MTG is a trading card game. However, unlike Yugioh and pokemon, NOBODY GAYIFIED IT!!!
It has remained uncorrupted by the faults of tv shows!
There have been games made of it, such as magic: battlegrounds, which is a good game.
Anyway, i wanna know what you all think about it, if you know it, if you don't, LOOK IT UP!

I think they went totally overboard on expansions. They should've stopped or at least slowed down after either 4th or Ice Age.
And of course there are only so many properties you can think of to put on cards before inflation sets in.

Other than that it's amusing.

I used to play. I stopped buying cards when they made... I think it was the 8th edition. Whichever edition made them look like those idiotic Yugioh and Pokekmon cards. I loathed the new design, and haven't bought a pack since.

But I still have my collection. Don't play that much now... People at this school don't really play, so they're sitting in a box somewhere.

Never played the cardgame, well besides few games with a friend, I never bought any card though...

But I played the old MTG computergame from Microprose, which I think came out in 1997, to death, it was very good and I actually finished it... damn that last guy was tough.

Which edition is now?

I have a couple of thousand cards sitting in a box and organiser now cause I don't play really anymore. I'm looking at an opportunity to sell them I think. Maybe keep one deck or so but I don't know, chance is really small I'll ever play again. My last booster was a 7th ed (with birds of paradise ) They just had to make too many expansions to have enough interesting abilities.

I have a few decks but well some decks aren't much fun to play against I noticed, like my blue counter thingy. It counters everything in the first few turns untill I can get my temporal adepts in the game to return everything to the other players hand.

Also had a green blue deck cuase with mystic snakes.

My favourite deck at the moment was black white with a lot of life gain and phyrexian arenas to draw lots of cards to discard which creates a load of creature tokens. Won with it against stompy green a lot.

I also had a fun red suicide deck with only cards that hurt every player. And with flip a coin stuff in it.

I used to play, but interest died down in the school I go to and I gave up the game.

I think I can safely say I was the person who you didn't want to play against in my group . I ran a black-white cleric deck, which could get out a mass of damage stoppers in very few turns. I could then stall the game for a long time, eventually rooting out my Doubtless Ones, which on average got to 17/17. If that failed, I was able to either 1 hit my opponent with a card (forget name, but it did 1 damage per cleric), rush them with a bunch of little healer dudes, or stall until they decked themselves (I had Yawgie's promise, so I couldnt lose this way).

Jeez, this almost makes me want to play again

Yeah, I stopped playing after 8th edition. The cards are now too... I don't know. They just don't have the same "Feel", I guess. Thats the best way to put it.

I personally loved Odysee, Threshold was a menace. Especially with my squirrels 1/1 to 8/8 if 7 cards are in my graveyard> Good times, good times.

But, Their is one special card. That nukes decks like nonbe bevore. Truamatize. Romove half your opponents deck to the graveyard rounded up. fun fun fun...

I think I might play again.... maybe. If I don't get killed by the idiotic new cards that are uber powerful.

I stopped collecting when Weatherlights came out, after visions, I never bought a pack of 5th ed, but have traded for one or two of the cards. My minotaur deck could routinely stomp the newer decks, even the new (as of 2 years ago) preconstructed monsters, I also liked red-burn decks (and was ticked when they pulled lightning bolt out because it was too much bite for 1 red) I guess the final straw for me was the 7th time they revised the "official" ruling on trample, it made some of my best walls wothless.

Exactly, Kyrvias... That's exactly it. The feel of the game changed. And I *liked* the old feel of the game.

I used to play with my brother in the days of 4th ed, Ice Age, and Fallen Empires.

I really liked the strategy and style of the different colors, but since I only played with my brother, our decks, as mean as they were, got boring and new cards were too expensive to maintain interest.

I loved that game from Microprose though. I beat that guy at the end too...quite satisfying! I'd play that now...but the bugs got to me last time I played - including the CTD during long battles in the Wizards towers.
