Anyone else seen this? There's an article about it in the news today.

Re: Powerpoint!!!
Now THERE is an image that lends itself to choppy scrolling. What's it all supposed to mean anyway? And is it supposed to be some kind of humor piece? If so, I don't get it, but I can't make sense of it for any other purpose either.
In short, I'm left scratching my head, saying, "huh?".

Re: Powerpoint!!!
Yes, I still don't know why images are so choppy on the forums now. Most of the regular choppiness has improved, but images tear big time still.

Re: Powerpoint!!!
Really? It scrolls like molasses for me. Still trying to pinpoint that.

Re: Powerpoint!!!
I understand it, I just don't see the point in using such a method other than demonstrating that everything is connected in the war. But then, perhaps that is the whole idea - creating a diagram of the war as a whole. I imagine it has a symbolic signifigance as opposed to a more practical one. Personally, I'd prefer neat columns anyday with the words "Everything is connected" in bold lettering at the top. Saves on drawing so many arrows.

I don't remember the exact quote, but it was something to the effect of, "If we can understand this, we'll be able to win the war." Well, sure! Having the capacity to figure out that diagram, and, you know, discover cold fusion at lunch, will give you the ability to win any war.

My understanding of that flowchart is significantly delayed without a link to related article(s).

The physical quote GEN McChrystal used is "When we understand that slide, we'll have won the war". One must understand the sense of humor or lack thereof that a 4 star has.
