I agree, disposable tissues are a much more hygenic way to deal with a cold, rather than have it "fester" in your pocket, it is pretty mingin.
I have never used a hanky and will probably never want to carry one of them around with me either. They are minging. *And the supergerm devoured them all.*

I actually got some of those pursepack tissues recently - the tissues are three-ply! They are so unnecessarily thick it's criminal

many old people i know dont even really produce snot in enough quantity to necessitate the use of a tissue or hankie.
I always thought they carried them around for the water that sometimes drips from ones nose because of eating spicy foods. |

Funny enough I was thinking of using them again rather than tissues. When you leave paper tissues in your pocket, if there is not a bin handy, and your clothes get washed the tissues make a right mess!
Any way I like to do as much recycling as I can so why not use a hankerchief?

I don't get it, I blow my nose at morning and evening before bed, so the need of tissues or handkerchiefs is gone. I like to think I have an average nose, so unless you're working in a dusty environment, who needs them?

Well said Zuvio, but not everyone is average. Fred may have more snot that Betty, and so forth. No one is typical.

Hm...if only doctors could invent an injection that could administered at birth that would prevent snot from building up in people's noses their entire life...i know mucus is a good thing and all but...there can be other ways of disposing it...that's it, now Little Nicky has a life goal! (my name is nick....just in case you were wondering and my aunties call me that)
