I got it today for $37. But boy was I mad! It seems that the store had opened it to put a security tag in it (irritating enough on it's own), but when they resealed it, the paper that gives a synopsis of the film and lists all the DVD features was GLUED to the box!!!! I spent about 40 minutes peeling off torn bits of paper and then trying to clean it so that no glue was left. I was ready to kill someone!
"Gee, look at the nice case! Someone put some real effort into making it look so nice. Let's glue stuff to it."

Gee, I'd say Sir T is a little giddy with HAPPY thoughts about a movie today!

$59.00?!?! You got ripped off BIG TIME! It's only $39.99 here, and $29.99 at Amazon. Please say you made a typo!

So why didn't you return it? I always double-check everything I buy. I'm a very relaxed person, but when I get excited about something I'm gonna buy and that when I get home it isn't in a 100%-state, I get reeaaal hellish, afwul sight to behold! You really don't wanna see a mad-Zuvio

I'm also hoping he meant $29.95 instead of $59.95. I checked the local Wal-Mart yesterday and they have the extended set for $27.95 or the set with the Gollum bookends for $50+. Perhaps that is the set that Sir T bought.

Either way, good on you Sir T!

As for me, I've listed the 4 CD set on my Christmas list I gave to my wife.

OK, I've come down from the clouds today! I got the Collector's Edition with the Gollum Statue in it. BestBuy was selling just the DvDs for $24.95 here in Knoxville. I'm such a nut for LoTR that I always get the Collectible stuff. If you all know me in person, you know I despise Burger King, but when the were offering the Collectible LoTR Mugs, I ate there a lot til I got them all.
