I picked a dead frog off Fuzzfas. Anybody know what to do with this?

Also: where is the best place to find a Picus Egg. I'm hunting in Trinton now but I was wandering if the road is better?

The Pici in the Wilderness Clearing have dropped eggs for me 100% of the time. The ones in Arnika-Trynton and Trynton have dropped them maybe 1 time in 15.

That's a shame about the Frog.

I'm not sure what you mean about the Wilderness clearing? Where is that?

If you haven't found it yet, it may be more fun just to keep playing. Especially since the Beastslayer Axe isn't really worth the effort. However, if you really want to know:

It's where the Rapax Away Camp is when you don't have two of the three objects with you.

Yeah, the Beastslayer Axe was a big disappointment when I finally had one made. Never bothered again; rather a pity, that.

And also unfortunately, the frog has no purpose, either. Maybe the designers meant it as a joke. Rather an obscure one, given you have to pick his pocket to get it.

I got three eggs in the Wilderness (what a pain to get there!). Anyway, I had enough stuff to make two Axes; so I did. I wasn't terribly impressed with them either. I'll use them for a while and see how they go. I could just switch them as the need arrizes. But it definatly could have been much better for all that work.
(maybe a patch!?)

Are Ferro's items any better? I've already got three Vamp' bat wings and a few other items. I figured "plan ahead".

P.S. I'll keep the frog for now. It's just too cool looking to get rid of.

Ferro has better stuff. The only custom item I get from Antone is the Ebon Staff, one of the better staves for magic users. The steelhide armor is also somewhat useful for leather wearers. Ferro can provide Vampire Chain and Ivory Blade, both decent weapons. I never bothered with the magic reflection armor. Does anyone recommend it?

Mirror Armor is OK for a Fighter. It's 2 AC less than the Golden Breastplate and weighs almost 50% more, has 5% better Fire and Earth resistance, but none in the other 4 realms. A fully-loaded Fighter will have an AC in the upper 20's, so the AC difference isn't that significant. Likewise the extra 14 pounds on a Fighter with a load capacity of over 350. If you like to mix it up toe-to-toe a lot, it gives you the effect of Razor Cloak for free.
