I really like Final Fantasy 8's opening animation, with the feathers and such... very artistic.

The intro movies for Brood War and Frozen Throne are my favourite intro movies. The Frozen Throne one blew me away the first time I saw it because Illidan was created so beautifully. He just reeked of awesomeness.

The opening movie of Red Alert 2. I really love watching the scene of Soviets troops invading US. somehow it gives me satisfaction inside.
 The opening movie of Diablo 2 LOD, I love it when Baal say " Enough!" and the sorrounding mountain vibrate. I also like the scene where Baal uses his power to squash the poor man. |

Warcraft 3 has an interesting opening. I mean, I despise the game, but the intro is cool.

Ive seen too many cool game openings to pick one favorite but a few that come to mind that I really liked were the PS2 rpg Shadowhearts, Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction and American Mcgees Alice.
