Look for the baldur.ini file in the BG II directory and under the heading Program Options type Debug Mode=1. Load your game and type CLUACConsole:CreateItem("XXXXXXXX") where XXXXXXXX is the name of the item.

like armisael said, check your override folder for all the associated files. A TBG file is a bit tricky, you need to copy the BAM and the ITM files into your override. The website that you downloaded it from SHOULD have instructions on how to import. Once the items are in your override (BAM and ITM) you should have no problems. Where did you get this stuff from? Which site?

Bocaj, depends on the type of file it is. you need to move the items to your override directory, depending on if it is an IAP or TBG file. 9 times out of 10 it will be an IAP file. in any case you need Infinity Editor Pro or something similar from TeamBG to extract the file/s and move them to your override directory. I'm kind of summarizing it for you here, check the site you downloaded from for more detailed instructions.
Then follow Mortis's advice to create the item in your game. You need to have Debug Mode=1 in your baldur.ini file to call up the console using CTRL+SPACE. Then type in CLUACConsole:CreateItem("XXXXXXXX"); where XXXXXXXX is the item name. Alternatively you can try and use Shadowkeeper to import the file and item. |

ok I downloaded Infinity Editor Pro and vb6. I typed Debug Mode=1 in baldur.ini. I type CTRL+SPACE and
CLUACConsole:CreateItem("XXXXXXXX") in this case the xxxxxxxx would be safemask.itm. all that happens is it says "lua: indexed expression not a table" and active stack. I have no idea what that means. what am I doing rong?? nothing shows up in my inventory. the items I am trying to get are: 1.safemask.itm 2.fkatana.bam (I can change to .itm) 3.katana.tbg (I can change to .itm) 4.dagger.itm 5.cloak.itm all of these items I got online at two different sites. thanks |

You don't add the .itm extension after the filename when you're calling it from within the game.
