"Truth? What more truth can I say? These people know what I am and you saw the elf here ready to fry me. I was just making a scene to get her to show me what kind of person she was. You know...find out if she was under that hood for a reason, as I do not think it is the latest fashion with the girls these days. So...you gonna take me to jail, or what?"

Going up to the child, she bent down, fixing her dark brown eyes upon his defiant face and spoke - firmly, but gently.

"And do you believe you are right to have done this? Harass someone who was minding her own business?" ~ Darting a glance at the still hooded figure ~ "This lady has a right to her secrets, just as you would have had your right to yours... but you have over-reached yourself, whoever you are."

Getting up, she turned to the elder half-elf and bowed slightly ~ "Please, if you will accept my coin, consider that this creature here has paid you for your meal." ~ Depositing some coin the bartop, she turned to the child again.

"And if you will be good enough to apologise to this lady, I am sure we can settle this in a more amicable manner."

Irinisayn looked down at the shifter. "I should say the people who really need to be apologized to are the owners of this establishment." She glared at him. "Though I should be happy to recieve an apology, I'd be overjoyed to merely be rid of this nosey beast."

Deiter mumbled under his breath. "I feel the same..."

He ignored the words of the two that hated him, turning to his savior...the human lady that was so quite...

"Yes, you are right...I am a trouble maker and a bad person for causing this riot."

He turned to the hooded one.

"I am sorry Mistress Elf. I did not intend any harm. I shall offer my services to you in return for my rude behavior if you allow me the opportunity to prove my worth."

He turned to the human...

"And to you, the same offer applies."

She took a back step, shaking her head gently and speaking in that same firm, but kindly tone.

"Thank you... but I think I would rather travel alone, for now." ~ Turning to the hooded figure, she smiled to herself.

I can hardly imagine her being overjoyed by such a proposition...

The tiefling scoffed, "I personally would rather travel with a hundred festering sores on the bottom of each foot. Your service to me will end with staying out of my way and taking your engrossment with the unexplained with you."

The little boy turned his back on the onlookers and began walking to the door.

As the onlookers gradually moved on to occupy themselves with their various interests, she turned to the hooded figure and bowed slightly.

"That was a most admirable display of your prowess with enchantments, miss. If you would not mind... might I be able to know your name?"

The tiefling eyed the other woman for a moment, liquid distrust of all people mingling with her blood. Yet this one did not seem to be the incompetent fool the shifter had been, perhaps it was worth an attempt at making acquaintances. "I am Irinisayn, Sayn if you will."

"Thank you for your trust, Sayn." ~ She spoke softly, looking around to ensure that they were quite alone in their private conversation ~ "I must confess I feel quite the fool, for being so soliticious just now, before that rude interruption."

There was a twinkle in her left eye as she continued ~ "As I mentioned earlier, I am fascinated by your powers of sorcery." ~ A faint blush crossed her cheeks as she held her flute in both hands, making a standing bow ~ "My name is Ji Xiang." ~ A falter in her voice ~ "Xiang Er, if you will."
