I noticed that if you pay the high priest 1,000 gold you aren't attacked by the serpent priests. But is this really necessary? I would rather just battle my way through and earn some XP...
Do you need to join the serpent temple? ------------------ Not many other adventurers can say they have made love to both Kerielle and Erzebette... at the same time |

Man! I bet you were really sorry to hear you can just KILL him, huh Night Blade?! LOL
For real, isn't nice to know you can save money and earn experience and kill too! Later, Mammawlin *couldn't resist teasing you a little* [This message has been edited by mammawlin (edited 05-17-2001).] |

Also, if you don't have 1000 GP, he lets you in on the "credit plan." Go on and do his quest for him (cleaning the serpent pens) and get the Serpent Idol, and then whack him when you get back there. He has a lot of interesting things to say: remember to ask him about H'Thark, Algamesh, Kol, and when you're ready to rumble, mention Kerah and Anephas! That way you can provoke him, in case you feel "guilty" about attacking a non-threatening NPC.

Little note: that Credit plan also includes alot of compounded interests... The Town Hall might not know what it is, but those Serpent guys sure do

What high priest??? Or is it the Inquisitor? Or Kreug? I never met him in any of my games. But then I start whacking them the minute I enter the temple.

It's Kreug, actually, Traute. I always talk to him with a character that doesn't have the gold pooled, so you go on the "credit" plan. Then I exhaust almost all the talk options with him...including the ones that make him "attack". One time I got him to attack me by pickpocketing him. "INFIDELS! HOW DARE YOU STEAL FROM THE HOLY PURSE!" blah blah blah... I just like getting all the "talk" options...plus sometimes they say some hilarious things.
