Heya.
Just interested to know what peoples thoughts and preferences on male hair are. Ladies, what are your opinions concerning hair-length? Long-and-rebellious, short-and-tidy, gelled-and-stylish? Also, what do you think about facial hair? Smooth and shaven? Keen on beards? Carefully-cropped stylized goatees? I'm interested to know. Gents, what is your preferred hair style? Do you grow your facial hair? Can you grow facial hair? Do you let your hair hang long or crop it short? Somewhere in between? Thoughts and input anyone? Personally I like my hair as short as possible as long as you can't see any skin i.e. definitely not a skinhead! Also I usually can't be bothered to shave so generally have a goatee and eventually shave it off when it gets itchy! Grr! Then it grows back again... so I shave around once a week at the most

My Pic at Stealthy's says it all. That is how I like it. It gets long and wild in the winter, but eventually I get tired of having it in my eyes.
The beard is also shown exactly the way I like it. Edit: Looke here... http://groups.msn.com/StealthysSite/...to&PhotoID=468 [ 02-13-2003, 09:33 AM: Message edited by: MagiK ] |

Men with long hair are just detracting from their masculinity Then again some men suit the less macho look I guess...
As for women I much prefer long slightly wavey hair to short hair.

LOL Phanty, nice topic!!
OK, if you want to know my ideals on male hairstyles, just check the pic of my boyfriend on Stealthy's. Seriously, I've usually had long haired boyfriends, but it has to be *nice* hair - no unkempt straggly thinnish greasy locks *shudders* I like short hair too (really short styles) because it suits some people very well, better than longer hair. And it has the added bonus that I don't have to constantly be envious my bf's hair is better-looking than my own Anyway, facial hair... I like the goatee my boyfriend has, and I don't mind a little rugged look Edit: Uncle Vask.... *taps foot* are you calling Seb less masculine? Tsssk I forgot to add: on women I almost always prefer longer hairstyles, on myself as well. [ 02-13-2003, 09:38 AM: Message edited by: Melusine ]
LOL I've always wondered about women and the "rrrrrrrrrr" sound. Is it just something they like to make to describe men they find sexy? My ex gf always used to say I was "grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" hehe

Ah, I see...
Heh heh. So Magik is your standard, rugged-esque kinda guy. Practical and functional. Not bound by rules or convention, but rather catering for the convenience of a functional, neat-yet-not-extravagent style. Interesting. Vaskez is of similar inclination, with a tendency toward the sculpted symmetry of the closely-cropped haircut. Of particular interest is his theory that hair length mirrors masculinity. Intriguing... Hmmmmm. And Melusine is of the gracefully-rebellious school of grooming. Combining rugged nonconformism with a sense of cleanliness and beauty. Fascinating indeed.... - keep the input coming!!!

well, right now i'm aiming to get my hair long... its about an inch past the bottom of my ears atm, planning on growing it till i finish uni, which could be from 3-7 years away
edit: as for facial hair, right now i can't get it to grow very thickly... but if i can get a suitable density i might grow a beard from novelty value... [ 02-13-2003, 09:53 AM: Message edited by: lethoso ]
