Sunglass Man Sorta random but, anyone know/remember Jeff Grubb?

He was the guy who wrote those classi FR novels we'd see on shelves back in the day such as "Azure Bonds" and "The Wyvern's Spur". He co-founded the Dragonalnce and FR settings - his name was on the corebooks (I always felt he handled Elminster really well in his novels). Anyways I absolutely loved that trilogy and always wondered where he got to and what he's working on. Until I find out he wrote the damned storyline for GW Nightfall and a novel for WoW. I guess you can't keep a good writer down, and it's so cool that he's "moving with us" in a sense as we take RPG's to our computer screens.

I loved the Finders Stone Trilogy - it was one of the first FR books I read (along with the Moonshae Trilogy). It's funny how fondly you remember books like that from your past, isn't it. Has anyone read his WoW stuff? Any good?

Hehe yeah, I was right there with you . Finders and Moonshae trilogy back-to-back. I find the new FR books don't compare to the original stories of the past. It seems overdone now, everything was fresh and new back then and the FR setting seemed so huge, it felt like each novel was the first to explore a particular region of the realms. I loved the Moonshae trilogy too, Tristan and co. turned out to be quite an epic tale in the end.

I am considering buying the warcraft novel, simply because he wrote it and I know it will be readable.
