Let's see I have been awake for 2 hours and so far:

-I managed to oversleep and almost miss the bus... I thought.
-When I come to the bus station it's still not there yet, but it's freezing cold, 1°c... and I'm only wearing a sweater and a thin jacket
-the bus finally arrives, 10 minutes too late... it's a horribly old bus from the times before things like "comfort" became popular... you basicly have to squeeze yourself into the seat... and there is about 20 cm's between the seats.
-When I'm almost nodding off... the busdriver decides to offer all the passangers the joy of morning radio... at 10.000 decibels... we are driving on a mountian road and the reception is very much below average... I get to listen to static for almost 45 minutes... woo...
-After finally arriving at the university I decide to get something to eat... but hey, no mney on my debit card... seems that my bank decided to be so very helpful and recall my "overdue allowance" without even letting me know... so no money...yey.
-Oh and yippie, all weekend I was working on a essay and my last job before I went to bed last night was to send it to my email in university... but it's not there... so I can't continue to work on it like I planned to... and it's due on wednesday...
And this is just the first 2 hours... I have no reason to believe that it just won't get worse.
I wan't to go back home and just lie in my bed all day...

Anyone else having a bad monday?

So you got extra sleep, and still didn't miss the bus. Right on! Lucky so far...

So the temperature is still above freezing point, which is always a good start You also have a sweater and a jacket, which is also a good thing...

So you have a busdriver that gives a s**t about his passengers and wants them to be at least partially entertained? You should have thanked him for his kind gesture. You could have always asked him to turn it down a little. What's more, you travel along a MOUNTAIN ROAD to uni? I get to walk through a small bush forest on the way to mine, very picturesque, but I'd still like to be able to travel through the mountains every morning!

Well, yeah, that would suck. Going hungry is never fun, but at least now you know to keep a close eye on your funds and put a little bit aside for snacks and lunch just in case the bank takes a bigger bite than usual

You still have 2 days to get it finished and handed in. I once researched and wrote a 3000 word essay for Soviet History on the day that it was due in! Still got a comfortable pass grade too. I nearly had a nervous breakdown, granted But it CAN be done

You sound like you have a wonderful life man, full of opportunity and privilege. Happiness really is a state of mind, it's up to you whether the world is a beautiful or horrible place. And hey, I've been studying Viking History for the past 9 weeks, by the sounds of it Iceland is pretty cool Live it up man, live it up

Well you are right Hiero... I really have nothing to complain about... lot of people have it worse than me.
I just feel very tired and beaten today and every little thing seems to bug me and I don't really know why...

Thanks for cheering me up a little though...

There have been so many changes, and re-changes of plan that it's hard to say exactly what is happening. The current plan is to fruit pick in NZ over late November/December/early January, thus minimising accomodation and food costs (cheaper to buy stuff in NZ as our dollar is weaker than the Aussie ). A friend of mine has parents that live in Brisbane and who shall also be away on holiday for most of January, so we're thinking of heading over sometime around then. From there, we're just gonna have some fun, should hopefully head down to Sydney too If so, we'll see ya there mate! This is all assuming that we actually make some decent cash while fruitpicking. My friends and I have had some great seasons where we've made really good money, as well as some shockers where we barely managed to keep our stomachs full. Fingers crossed man
