I am thinking of having a monk in my HOF party which consist veterans from my current team.
What do you guys think will he make it? (1st level monk)
I might need to take out a tank for him.
(paladin level 17 is the current fav char to drop)

Current party all pure class
fighter
paladin ---> droping for monk.
cleric
rogue
sorceror
wizard

apart from the thumder clap any other monk only stuff in the game?

Any particular reason you would drop the paladin instead of the rogue? I am playing hof with fighter, barbarian, paladin, monk/cleric, cleric and wizard. Having the three tanks has been very useful. I use the monk/cleric to take out the spell casters as quickly as possible.

Aside from that, the Holy avenger in Hof is a much more potent sword, coming in at 1d8+10 and better magic resistance. That's if you want to go for it; the followers are, of course, much more deadly in this difficulty.

Also, I don't think your first level monk will gain levels very quickly. Since most of the group are veterans, they won't get much for the gobbies in Targos.

In my game: I had the amulet and went back to the Glen... But I couldnt get the Sword/Fight... I dont have a paladin but thought I could at least sell the sword. What triggers the fight??

Actually, the grave in question doesn't have a tombstone. I had to send someone walking around it, and then the fun began And you don't need to have a Paladin, but it's such a nice sword in HOF, that a Paladin is worth having in the group.

I say......if the monk is going to level up quickly go for it...otherwise forget it. Lv 1 monk is pathetic, lv 20 monk is *smashing*!
