One word...and one number...Wizardry 8. Evry single game that's been recommended so far is a quality game, well worth your time (and money). But Wizardry 8 is, I belive, the finest rpg in years. It starts off deceptively simple, but this game is rich and detailed beyond belief. I have not had this much fun (and this big a challenge) since the first Fallout.
