Okay, What's the deal, I was expecting all these spellbooks to be available to me to help my bishop out, and I'm still struggling along trying not to use my level-up picks (I'm a level 9 bishop with 3 picks saved). I have a ton of Mental spells, but none too useful, my only direct attack spells are Psionic Fire, Acid Splash, and Mind Stab, and my buffer spells suck ass too. Do I have to pickpocket them from Anna or something? Will there be a lot available once I go into the swamp? I have about 50K in gold ready for that moment, and I've saved all my sneeze/flash powders so I can combine them when my bishop is powerful enough and make some more money.
Most of my Bishop's combat is casting Stamina on my gadgeteer and bard. Or, is this just normal and I'm a whiny bitch

I am running two bishops and was running into the same problem until I realized that all I had to do to get other books available was to do a bit of camping in Arnika and then save right before talking to Braffit and Anna to make sure they had books I could use. I also have been having my Alchemy specialist make Heavy Heal, Restoration and Pickmeup Potions in order to maximize my return, though I've been saving my Sneeze/Flash as well. I entered Arnika with only 1st level spells (I didn't level up above 6 on the way over) and left it at 8th level with them knowing all 2nd level spells and using 2 spell picks apiece to get two 3rd level spells for each of them. So far, so good. I'm on my way to the cemetary now. Remember -- there's only about 10 7th level spells so you don't need to save every spell pick, just most of them.

I forgot about Braffit, but Anna seems to always only have the Book of Relics and Detection.. She's this close to being Hobbit food
