I never said anything about me building a computer in it's current present-day specs without using plastic. But then, I am not an inventor of new technologies. But, this does not answer the question I asked.

So let me ask it another way. Can a circuit board, one of the most basic communicators in a PC or any other device, be built using wood, for example?

you're right it's going to be terrible, lots of people I know including myself will be hit directly from the spill, and the inusing economic disaster to the effected areas.

from what I understand Apples first computers used wooden boxes... the first mouse was made of wood... sure a computer can be made of wood or any other other matterial that is an insulator of electricity...ceramics would work...but You're going to have a hard time running all those neat little metal circuits on a metal board without insulating them....then making a computer out of wood wasn't the question you asked, the question you asked was:

plastic sure as Hale is used in making circuit boards... I still await those photos proving me wrong... hey look at it this way SW you could join Davros and get the honor of me admitting for all time that you won one.

Well, you answered the question finally, albeit after a few posts...so I am on the fence whether you know what you are talking about. Yes, you're right about the wood used in early models....but a post ago you mocked the idea of wood being used. So I am wondering...

I am unsure what you want photos for, I never claimed to own a wooden computer. I simply asked you if your understanding of circuit boards was primarily composed of plastic being an integral component. You seemed to at first say "YES" then say "NO, but plastic is better".

In fact, the current materials used in circuit board creation are actually more toxic than plastic.

You have this uncanny knack of saying "Haha, now we are arguing about [insert unrelated topic] so... I win!!!" It's cute, but not when done by an old man.

I am not arguing that I do not use oil, nor that everyone should stop using oil. I am simply pointing out that not nearly enough thought was put into where we were seeking oil in this case. It took bleeding edge technology to go down 5000 ft. to get this oil, and we didn't have the bleeding edge technology to fix it when and if it broke. It's a classic case of marching ahead with "We Can!" when someone shoulda stopped and said "But Shoud We?"

Now you can keep sitting there at that Tee-Ball stand swinging your bat wildly and yelling "I WIN I WIN I WIN" or you can enter the discussion in earnest. Your call.

Agreed. John for some reason tends to do that alot. I have pointed it out to him before to no avail.

Case in hand...

John: "Show me photos of no plastic in your computer".
Me: "Um...when did I say there was no plastic in my computer?"
John: "I win!"
Me: "LOL?"

It's funny though, I have to say, lol.

And there are lots of rigs out there. So, it's just a minor deal, right?"
