For all of you people with a 56K modem, i've got a question. I have one too, and i wanna know, how hard is it to play MP with one. How slow is everything?

Well, it is, understandably, considerably slower than playing with a cable or (A)DSL connection. Also, you might find that you're limited to playing with only two or three players maximum. Sometimes a 56k can't handle more players than that. I haven't played on one for very long, but the above I know to be true. Hope it kind of helps

I got a 56k modem, when playing MP it's very slow and laggy ( example, to pull out a sword, it will takes like a few minutes where it takes only seconds for some ), thus you'll likely be a target for PvP. sometimes the screen goes totally black as the connection get disconnected.

IIRC I could play Starcraft a few years ago on Battle.net with my old 56k just fine...

it should be okay if you use US servers but definitely not Asia servers.

SecretMaster, you may be able to, I am unsure- but Jeffi, Starcraft wouldn't be a problem as it isn't a huge memory-guzzling game- still, you could but try it, SM.

as long as the game isnt an FPS you should do fine... RPGs run well over it... I recomend PSO and Earth and Beyond too... those are the smoothest running 56k Games I know of...
