i have always wanted to play as a psionist. can you do that in this game. if u cant it will suck. what is your opinion of the psionist

I don't think there will be any pianos in NwN but if you have your heart set on being a bard there will be harps.
*rim drum roll* But seriously folks, I just flew in from-- --Ahem, okay, sorry. No, there will be no psionics in NwN, at least that is what Trent Oster said in October. I have no experience with playing a psionist myself. [ 02-18-2002: Message edited by: Lemernis ]

Unless they have hidden the announcement away somewhere at their website, there will be no psionics in NWN. No big deal, as psionics are not part of the core rules of D&D. Even with the inclusion of psionics in the SRD, psionics remain the red-headed step-child magic system of D&D.
Psionics are interesting, but their system remains slightly kludgy. Far improved over 2nd editions numerous attempts at psionics, but not quite as mature a system as the rest of magic in D&D. |
