Okay, while doing the shadow thief quest, I have to kill some cowl mage. Well, in the second floor of his house there are two stone golems. The best I can do out of like 34billion tries is almost_kill_one. I have tried everything I can think of. Please, I need some help. I find it insane that these things have such magic resistance...even when I try to debuff it. Oh well, thanks in advance.

just come back to that place when you are stronger and have more magical weapons... well the simple and most effective thing i guess is cloudkill but im sure there is better and more interesting tactics you can employ. i forgot how i killed them since i was pretty stong that time... GL

You need a tank. I'd reccomend casting wizard eye with your mage and having it take all the punishment for you while your fighters kill the golems one at a time (a wizard eye can't be killed). Cloudkill will work, too, but note that the golems will resist the spell unless it's fired from a cloudkill wand, and you can't cast it and flee downstairs - as the golems will just follow you.

Try casting stone-flesh on them. If I remember correctly this makes them a LOT more vulnerable.

I think you need +2 or greater weapons to hurt stone golems. Try using weapons like the talking sword (since the "only brunt will hurt me" restrictions don't apply to stone golems).

I also got a big hurt in Minsc when I met the golems so i sent everybody downstairs except my mage (protected with stone skin and mirror image). Then i casted melfs shooting thing (level 3) and started attacking them. Not so fast but it works. And when the golems are attacking your mage you could send your fighters to beat them without being attacked
