Just so we'll know (and I'm sure you're familiar with it from other forums):

There are two different types of spoiling. One is giving a "hint" that gets players around a difficult situation, like "Strategies for fighting 'Saffy' (the Swallower)" or "How do I get the key to unlock the safe?" This is what I call a "nudge", since it "nudges" the player past a rocky point in the game, and these are encouraged here.

The other type of spoiling, the malicious type, is where posters give away critical or key plot devices or elements that spoil the gaming experience by giving away the storyline. This is not only discouraged, but outright disallowed. Posts that are made that "spoil" in this manner will be immediately deleted and the posting member will be issued a warning. If the member persists in this type of spoiling behavior, he or she may have their account at Ironworks revoked. We take this policy VERY seriously.

On "Nudging" (which is still called spoiling): If you are posting a potential "nudge", please place in the subject line the text SPOILER ALERT! before posting, so member who do not wish to be spoiled can avoid it.

If a "nudge" is included within another post (such as an answer to a question), place a message in the posts body saying "SPOILER ALERT:" and leave at least 20 blank lines between that warning and the "nudge": for example:

SPOILER ALERT:
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>
>

(nudge goes here)

That way, the person can choose to "back out" of the screen or run past it rather than getting spoiled.

By using these courtesies, we can all make the gaming experience more pleasant for everyone, regardless of where a person is in the game.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Cheers,

This is the perfect example of what should be a "sticky" thread! Is Z looking into setting that option up for you mods?

I hope we have it, Moni! If not, we'll just have to keep "bumping" it up. I think "sticky threads" are available with this particular upgrade, but Ziroc may not have gotten around to enabling them yet.

Cheers,

I for one can't wait for sticky threads. I feel like I'm the only one bumping my threads sometimes!

Heyyy, Memnoch!! Good to see ya, Mate!

Are you planning on getting Wiz 8 next Friday? I can tell you it's a winner!

And, yes, sticky threads would be a "must". I hope we get them at the December upgrade!

Cheers,
