Do you have a NVidia graphics card? Because I'm pretty sure NvCpl is also the file name of the NVidia Control Panel, for adjusting the settings of the graphics card. The virus merely tries to pretend it is the same.

Thankyou Callum! When i originally saw it on the list, i thought it to be a part of my Nvidia card. When i yahooed it, bells and whistles went off, but after i read your post, i had a closer look and found it to be legit. NvCpl.dll is safe, nvcpl.exe is a virus. I should've picked up on that after i spent a tense hour or so believing that i'd picked up the isass.exe virus when instead, the file i was looking at was lsass.exe. :embarassed:
My computer is apparently clean. But the office suite i never installed is still telling me that it wants a disk. Thoughts?
