Ramon asks if any of you know the URL of a good web-based specialized technology dictionary (English to/from other major western languages)? He's doing some technical translation to English (obviously ) and needs some help.
Thank you in advance for your help. ------------------ Sometimes I think I understand everything, then I regain consciousness. Happy Member of Fast Fourward. |

Hi, Ramon, Bilqis, good to see you (even indirectly) !
I don't currently use a specialized dictionary, but maybe my husband does, since he works in high technology. He is away today, I will ask him tomorow. ------------------ The world is my oyster ! And now I have the knives to open it ... |

Bilqis, I don't know how good it is (I only know English), but I found this:
http://www.mouli-net.com/translator It has English, French, German and Spanish. It's at least a start. By the way, what type of technology? In looking around, I found many very specialized sites for medical terms, water-related terms, etc. It might help to know what type of technology. ------------------ Nid yw'r hoff o lyfr yn fyr o gyfaill. |

Thank you both, Moiraine & Keryvian!! That's a start. I shared what you said with Ramon and he said: Thanks, sounds promising. Well, not that specialized:electronics, physics, acoustics.
Will be checking back just in case someone else comes up with stuff.. and to see what Moiraine's husband says. Thanks again! ------------------ Sometimes I think I understand everything, then I regain consciousness. Happy Member of Fast Fourward. |

Don't know if this will help much, but this site allows you to email your request in, and they will translate it for free....

Don't believe everything you read. I just went to the website and attempted to translate some e-mail that I got. Somebody sent me something in German or something related to German and I can't make heads or tails out of it. ************************************************** *********** Unter diesem Motto möchten wir alle Mitglieder und besonders unsere Neuzukömmlinge wieder begrüßen.
