I wonder if these are people just being funny or if they're real amish. When the amish are 18, they are given a year to live like the English (what they call us non-amish people). This is so that when they decide to become amish, they know what they are giving up and making an informed decision. Many decide to become amish, but some decide they like the English world and give up their amish lifestyle. There are many Amish where my parent's live and they said the kids who are in that 18 time get in lots of trouble with the law and party LOTS during that year.
