Hi everybody !

Sorry, I just did not make to here again before today, as I was away over the long Pentecost weekend (pentecost monday is a public holiday in Germany) and I spent all of yesterday and most of today trying to configurate the controller box that comes with the ISDN phone connection (great fun that ! ). Now I really have to hurry up with that translation job, which is due tomorrow (Yikes !).

Thanks to all for their contributions. I shall report on my experiences with the sites suggested here.

A special thanks to Bilqis for acting as my messenger !

Well, I promised a follow-up report on my exp.s after the completion of the translation job. Here is it:

1) Keryvian, thanks for suggesting the moulinet site, but unfortunately it turned out that the database there is far too small: it knew basically all of the things I knew already myself, but virtually none of those I did not, either.

2) Tobbin took already care of the testing of the aaarapid-site.

3) Luckily, I was able to find a very good one myself. The database is impressively comprehensive and it gives a lot, almost too many, alternative translation. Like any webbased translators I know it is lacking in information on grammar and in classification of alternative translations, compared with good dictionaries. It does only German/English - English/German and the navigation language is German, which shouldn't pose too much of a problem, though, as the operation is pretty much self-explanatory. If you want to give it a try, go here.

Thanks again to everyone for their help !

Hello Yorick !

Thanks, I am fine, just a little tired as I stayed up til six a.m. a couple of nights to watch the NBA Finals. You are still - and again - in Singapore ?
I am starting to wonder if you will ever return to Australia. You still have not burnt your passport or have you ?

But judging from your "sojourner" posts you really seemed to like Singapore, so I assume you are happy being there and to be there.

Take care !
