I have an ancient Palm IIIe PDA, and am looking to 'upgrade' it. Does anybody else here use a Palm or Visor PDA and if you do what kind do you have and do you like it?

HP Jornada. I like windows ce so much more! I had a palm V, but this one plays mp3's mpg's, solitaire - not to mention the pocket office suite and map programs. Full 16 bit color tft display... I think you get much more for the money and the gui is way better.

I have an HP Jornada for work from my company. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles yours has though. The only drawback is size.

Actually, by doing my homework on these, I have found that the Compac, although their PC's are shitty, have the best hand-helds on the market, as far as having everything I can imagine.

I currently have a Visor, and while it's great in it's own way, it does leave a lot to be desired. The connection to MS Outlook is not full, which means that you can't send EVERYTHING back and forth, without getting another program. Some of the other features are great starter packages, but for the true functionality that I am looking for, I would have to spend more money to buy other programs.
I have been doing research on them as well, and I would agree that the Compaq is by far the best one on the market. It uses Windows CE, Pocket Office Suite, which all interface so much better with your PC. ------------------ Protector and Defender of Nature Awake, Aware and Loving Life to the best of my abilities Tracker of the fair Cleric Charean |

The Jornada is very similar to the compaq. The processor is a little faster though, and it has a few features I liked more. In general very similar though. Same OS and all that. The compaq is smaller though, which is important.
