She's the only one I got! Not much of a girlfriend (girlfriend) Never seem to get alot!" That one? Funny how I haven't heard these songs in (omg could it really be) (well) over twenty years but I can still hear them like they had just played. Kinda scary LOL! |

I don't think anyone meant to ignore it purposely though and I know you were participating in trying to keep it alive. I dunno! This must just be one of those weeks where posting in a music thread seems to be something to do! |

Megabot I think the guitarist you are talking about is either Chet Atkins or Chuck Berry.

And today I am in heaven - my mum dug out her pile of old 45s (for the IW youngsters, a '45' is a round vinyl disk with a groove etched into it that used to be used to play music, I realise this is a bit antique for some of today's youth ) so I quickly kidnapped them all and locked myself in my room!
Had a great afternoon playing her records, just like I used to when I was a kid (they were my introduction to music and have influenced my taste considerably). The Who, The Kinks, The Pretty Things, Georgie Fame, The Yardbirds, The Spencer Davies Group, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Manfred Mann, The Troggs, and loads loads more! Have been in musical ecstasy. Some of them are a bit beat up (and one 'Pretty Things' single looks like it had an accident with a cigarette, fortunately only on the lead-in, the track itself has escaped unscathed) but most sound pretty good still!

I have my dad's entire vinel collection at my fingertips. One day I will actually get to listen to the Blizzard of Ozz on the old turntable.
