Just outta curiousity, when someones sick, why should you have chicken noodle soup. Why can't you have Beef soup or clam chowder.

It really wasn't chicken noodle soup, but chicken soup the Jewish mothers used for a cure. Usually made from the lesser parts of the chicken (you don't want to know)which had high nutrition value.

Well, for starters, soup is good for helping fight againsy dehydration...because of the water intake...but also I have heard that it has been proven that the chicken broth actually contains something good for your body, and can help when you have a cold or whatever. I bet Attalus will be able to better explain than me.
