can i use thieves tools and traps when im a warrior? to open chests for example, the ones i cant bash through if so how? im fed up of even daelan being frustrated by tough chests

To the best of my knowledge, yes. I gave my Ranger some lockpicking ability and when I found the lockpicks +10 I kept them. I don't know if it was coincidence, but I never had a problem with locks.

I'm probably not the best person to answer this.........(not usually a roguish sort) but it's entirely possible to use lock picks, etc if you sacrifice a few skill points when you level. You'll never be as efficient as a rogue, of course, but good enough for most instances.

Of course, you could always hire on a thievish henchman to do your dirty work.......

In addition to what others have said, you could also try using Power Attack when you're bashing open chests. You'll do more damage, so more damage will get past the chest's resistances. Also you could pick up Tomi Undergallows at the Halls of Justice, who makes a better thieving henchmen than Daelan.

You can use any skill that you can learn. However, it doesn't always mean you'll be as good as someone who uses that skill as a "class-related" skill.

ah i got no lockpicking so thats why i couldnt use em doh [img]smile.gif[/img]

and i always use improved power attack chests havent found one yet i cant take out with persistance (i need criticals even on improved power to take some though so i wait 5 mins whilst i do someat else [img]tongue.gif[/img] )
